Engineering Manager – Hybrid – £70-80k

This exciting and established client is looking to add an Engineering Manager to their development team based in Penrith. You will have a track record of creating an environment of accountability through technical excellence, continuous improvement and delivery commitments with long-term technical strategy. You will be managing several squads by overseeing the quality and timeliness of performance delivery of software solutions from all team members.

Core skills required:

Excellent experience managing dynamic teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong technical background with modern programming languages Node.js, Express, TypeScript, Vue.js, PostgreSQL etc
Strong experience mentoring and coaching software engineers at all levels
Track record of delivery complex technology project, balancing technical debt, quality and speed
Strong experience with agile, DevOps, CI/CD and cloud-based infrastructure
Familiarity scaling engineering teams and managing cross-team dependencies
Familiarity with compliance, information security and regulatory standards relevant to the financial services industry
