Lead Data Engineer – Remote – Up to £70k and Benefits

I currently require a Lead Data Engineer, to lead a team of developers to build and support the data platform and other tools and solutions. You will contribute to the company’s data strategy, by evolving their data platform to meet company objectives.
 
As the Lead Data Engineer, you will work with the Data team to define, communicate, and govern the data architecture as well as plan, execute and support data migration projects. You will also lead on technical database design activities for the team and ensuring the team’s code is peer reviewed.
 
This role will predominantly be based from home, but travel to the office twice a month will be required.
 
Technical skills

  • Data Storage using SQL Server and PostgreSQL and document (MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB) databases
  • Data transformation and loading processes using Azure, SSIS and web service integrations
  • Data Analysis, reporting and visualisation using tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Grafana
  • Synchronous microservice architectures
  • SQL Server – at least 2016
  • Modern security standards
  • Leadership experience
