Automation Tester

Automation Tester – Birmingham - Hybrid role

Salary – 35k plus excellent benefits
 
Hybrid role - Opportunity to work from home 2-3 days a week
 
Reporting into one of the Development Team Leaders, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Automation Tester are responsible for designing and implementing test automation approaches, focussing on the testability, robustness, and performance of production code.
To become a key member of the Development team you will need to have strong automation testing skills, be hard working and be able to fit in well with a small team.

 Core responsibilities for this Automation Tester

  • 2-3 years Automation Testing experience using Ranorex or other automation tools
  • Analyse software and systems to mitigate risk and prevent software issues.
  • Analyse and fully understand user stories / use cases.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts and test data to ensure software created by their team of developers is fit for purpose.
  • Create and maintain a test automation framework, including designing and developing automation scripts when needed.
  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, & Regression) via manual & automated testing.
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Assist with the verification and evidence of reproducing faults.
  • Ensure developers and stakeholders are kept up to date with the latest problems requiring resolution and assist with queries relating to the progress of any outstanding / ongoing problems.
  • Apply quality engineering principals throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide support and documentation.
