Technical Support Engineer

Technical Support Engineer – Hybrid/Bingley - £25,000 + Benefits

This well-established organisation requires a driven and self-motivated Technical Support Engineer to join their busy technical services team and motivate those around them. The key to this role is user support and hence you will be a good communicator with plenty of energy and enthusiasm. You will be required to provide support across the business, maintain IT facilities and provide user support to stakeholders of various technical levels.
 
The role will be primarily remote with 1 day travel a week to the office in Bingley. The other 4 days will be on a work from home basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a first point of contact for users
  • Logging and responding to calls submitted to the Service Desk via telephone, email or web portal
  • Mentoring and training colleagues within the immediate team and wider business.
  • Maintaining services within the group, in line with SLA’s/KPI’s
  • Responsible for maintenance of service desk documentation for internal and customer facing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Supporting hardware onsite
 
Skills required:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Windows Desktop OS, networking, Siemen’s telephony, active directory and incident management systems
  • Understanding of IT Security
