Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineer – Remote – Up to £70k and Benefits

I currently require a Lead Software Engineer, to lead a team of developers to build and support the development of one of the agile teams within the business. You will contribute to the company’s development strategy and lead software development activities for one team. As the Lead Software Engineer, you will work with the development team to define, communicate, and govern high quality and efficient software source code to meet functional, technical and UI specifications. You will also lead on technical design activities for the team and ensuring the team’s code is peer reviewed.
 
This role will predominantly be based from home, but travel to the office twice a month will be required. This role is mostly hands on and management is 10-20% of the work required.
 
Technical skills

  • API development using .Net Core, C#, WebAPI, Entity Framework
  • Web application frameworks including React.js, Bootstrap.js with Typescript
  • HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • Data Storage using relation and document databases
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Azure infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
  • Modern security standards
  • Leadership experience
