Database Administrator

DBA – Penrith – Remote - £50k
MySQL, PostgreSQL, Unix, Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, Azure

This exciting and established client is looking to add a DBA to their development team based in Penrith. The successful DBA will have proven experience in a similar role and your skills will include extensive MySQL or PostgreSQL. You should have experience building large databases from scratch and will have extensive commercial experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases.

Core skills required:

Excellent working knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL or both
Experience with Unix operating systems (Linux/MaxOS)
Experience with cloud infrastructure solutions such as AWS, Azure or GCP
Documenting and maintaining standards including database design patterns
Ensuring database security and managing risk
Managing several projects and prioritising demands
Self-managing workload and continually meeting agreed deadlines

This is an excellent role for DBA’s looking for an organisation that will allow them to meet their full potential through a mixture of training, access to senior developers and producing business critical, bespoke databases for a range of exciting clients.
