Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineer – Remote – Up to £70k + Benefits
Must be willing to attend an office on a semi-regular basis. Worksop, Suffolk, Falkirk and County Durham are all options.
 
This advanced and growing technology company are looking to add an experienced Lead Software Engineer to their Software delivery team. This role would suit someone who enjoys a hybrid office/home working set up. The Lead Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of back-end applications supplying their core services and APIs. You will be joining a face paced environment and will have to work to deadlines as a team.
 
The ideal candidate will have a high level of technical knowledge and will be required to possess a broad range of skills that will assist in learning new technologies quickly. It will be your responsibility to help shape and deliver the company’s technology solutions. You will be the senior member of the team, working on a large-scale and fast-paced project. Their will be two direct reports with this position and whilst management experience is not required, you will have the autonomy to influence the company’s technical direction
 
Experience:

  • Node.js environment (NPM, NVM, PM2, Express.js, Net, Mocha-chai test framework) for back-end systems.
  • AWS Management experience or qualifications
  • MySQL database management
  • JavaScript, Bootstrap, EJS, HTML and jQuery/ajax languages and frameworks.
  • Experience as a Senior / Lead Developer
  • Exposure to Java, PHP or Python would be beneficial
