Cyber Security Analyst

Cyber Security Analyst – West Yorkshire – Up to £40,000
 
This established organisation within the education sector are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst, who will be responsible for supporting and delivering the companies cyber security strategy, objectives and roadmap. My client could consider anyone along the M62 corridor as travel to sites cross the North West and West Yorkshire will be required. This position will be a mix of home / on-site working.
 
As the Cyber Security Analyst, you will be required to take accountability and oversight across IT of security practices and principles, ensuring that security risks and issues are considered part of the delivery of projects. Taking ownership of technical security platforms and establishing a security framework are other key requirements for this role.
 
The following skills and experience are required:

  • Excellent knowledge of security technologies and threats
  • Expertise in cyber security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection, etc.
  • Good understanding of the latest network technologies
  • In-depth understanding of IT security issues and challenges
  • Complete understanding of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials+
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA etc. would be highly desirable.
