ICT Director / Director of ICT – Education Sector – Midlands - work remotely but there is ocasional travel included in the role

Head of ICT - Director of ICT - Digital transformation, Digital education, Digital Strategy - West Midlands
Salary up to £80k plus benefits which includes remote working, 30 days holidays, laptop, phone, health cash plan, retail discounts including restaurants & gym memberships
 
The successful ICT Director will lead on the strategy, development and delivery of the digitalisation within the organisation. The ICT Director / Digital Director will have previously worked within the Education Sector and will oversee the integration of digitalisation across the whole Trust and you will have indirect responsibility of all the technical staff. The Digital Director will work closely with the Head of ICT Integration & Web Services Manager to improve the use of technology and how information is presented using web and digital products.
 
Core responsibilities for this ICT Director role.
 

  • Design, develop and deliver a Digital and IT strategy to enable delivery of the Trust’s Digital roadmap and to promote the positive change for Digital Transformation.
  • To develop and lead a creative and innovative approach to Digital Transformation, encompassing educational and operational perspectives to create exceptional best practices.
  • Lead and develop on all aspects of Digital and Information Technology across the Trust, incorporating but not limited to Digital Technology.
  • To provide effective leadership to the digital network and ICT team, including coaching, mentoring and effective performance management developing their skills and abilities and encouraging a collaborative environment.
  • To be the guru on Digital Technologies across the Trust and be the fulcrum of external engagement with key providers, stakeholders, and market leaders in order to ensure specific digital objectives and progress are made.
  • Support their schools with their individual Digital and IT strategy development to ensure appropriate action plans are in place.
 
 
Core skills for this Director of ICT role.
 
  • Proven experience of delivering digital transformation within the education section.
  • Experience in an IT senior leadership role, and experience of leading and managing in a large and complex organisation preferably an Education establishment.
  • A successful background in enhancing customer experience with a particular focus on education and the learner experience.
  • Proven leadership of transformation using digital technologies, data, and digital approaches.
  • Knowledge and experience of teaching and leading transformative change using digital technologies within an educational setting.
  • A detailed understanding of the current trends in digital education and experience of liaising with government bodies.
