ICT Technician–Stoke-on-Trent

Support, Networks, Office 365, Troubleshooting
 
The Technician will support the use of ICT through the maintenance of software and hardware as well as providing support to ensure administration and outcomes are maximised. You will provide some training and coaching for staff and pupils to upskill and enable access to systems and support teams with accessing ICT resources. You will support in the creation and implementation of the ICT development plan and advise senior staff in communicating the ICT strategy, operational plan, policies, procedures, systems, and tools.
 
Core Skills for this role:
 
• Experience in a technical support role
• Good working knowledge of Office 365
• Understanding of networks, LAN, WAN, and internet topologies
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues quickly.
• Ability to analyse and explain ICT to pupils and staff in an effective non-technical way.

Interpersonal skills
 
• Well organised, self-motivated, and able to successfully work under tight project deadlines.
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal (to elicit clear requirements and communicate solutions)
• Able to work well as part of a team, but also to be self-motivated when working alone
