Head of Development

Head of Development – Remote/Selby - Up to £60k plus benefits + Flexible working

This advanced digital company are looking to add an experienced Head of Development to their collaborative development team. The successful Lead Developer will be a team player and looking to build on their skills and experience in a vibrant working environment. They are looking for someone who can attend their Selby office once per week once it is completely safe to do so.

The hands-on Head of Development will be required to oversee development projects, develop code, processes and solve problems whilst taking specifications and turning those into websites. You will also be responsible for supporting the infrastructure team, ensuring they have the capability to manage and maintain the organisations IT infrastructure.

Required skills:

SEO experience, specifically onsite optimisation
Object-oriented programming languages and methodologies
HTML5 and CSS3
PHP 7, MySQL (or other similar RDMS)
Linux
Advanced VCS knowledge (Git)
Experience of managing, directing and motivating staff to deliver projects with stretching scope and objectives.
Experience of PHP frameworks would be beneficial.
Nginx, ElasticSearch and Redis - beneficial
