Software Developer – Remote/Selby – Up to £35k + Benefits

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PHP Developer to work within a varied development team producing industry-leading software. The ideal software developer will have proven experience developing high performance and scalable code and a full understanding of object orientated programming.

The successful candidate will have previously worked within small teams and will have a good understanding of existing and emerging web technologies. You will be required to build and maintain high quality, innovative, robust, well tested and documented software solutions to meet business needs. The office is based in Selby with the hope that someone may be able to come in once a week once it is completely safe to do so.

Core skills for this PHP role include:

Strong understanding of PHP
Object-oriented programming
GIT
Linux
Experience with other web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
MySQL (or other similar RDMS)

Desirable

Experience with PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel and/or Zend Framework.
Vue.js
CI/CD pipelines and tooling
Nginx, ElasticSearch and Redis
