Software Support Engineer

Software Support Engineer – Middlesbrough / Remote – Up to £28,000 + On-Call + Benefits

This well-established software organisation requires a driven and self-motivated Application Support Engineer to join their busy technical services team and motivate those around them. The key to this role is customer service and hence you will be a good communicator with plenty of energy and enthusiasm and will have worked extensively within a Service driven ITIL environment. 
                                                                                                        
The current vacancy is for an innovative IT solutions organisation who are looking for a Software Support Analyst to provide specialist support. They are looking for someone with a background in supporting a variety of applications and a track record of picking up new tech quickly. The position will initially be remote based with the opportunity for flexibly agreements moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical support to customers and internal teams
  • Process Service Requests for customers and internal teams
  • Take ownership of customer support issues
  • Supporting web applications and e-commerce solutions
  • Working to agreed SLAs and ensuring daily/weekly targets are met
 
Experience:
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a Service Desk environment
  • ITIL
  • Experience of web technologies
  • Experience supporting a variety of software / hardware
  • Linux server support beneficial
  • Cloud technology experience beneficial (ideally AWS)
