This established company based in Redditch, are looking for a Head of Technical Operations to be responsible for monitoring application and platforms as well as ensuring the alerting and monitoring systems are to the highest quality and efficiency. This role will require you to lead a small team, contribute to platform evolution and being responsible for customer SLA management and reporting.
 
The Head of Technical Operations will work closely with the team members, software developers, business users and other technology stakeholders to provide automation, push button, deployments, and continuous delivery of our custom developed and internally managed software applications. You will also provide major incident management, cost management and capacity management.
 
Responsibilities:

• You will oversee and guide the DevOps and NetOps teams and lead operational management of secure and scalable infrastructure for the business
• You will take ownership of cloud cost management across platforms and lead incident management and root cause analysis
• You will ensure all new product development meets stability, monitoring and reliability standards
• You will be responsible for enforcing use of version control procedures and collaborating with infrastructure and development teams across the business

Skills & Experience for this Head of Technical Operations role:

• Proven track record of leading a DevOps/Infrastructure team
• Windows and Linux Administration
• Experience with cloud migration from on-premises solutions into a major cloud provider
• Infrastructure as code practices
• Project Management experience
• PowerShell & Shell scripting
• Ability to influence people at all levels and creating long-lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Expert Cloud computing knowledge (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
• Containerisation management tools
• Services/APIs, Serverless Architecture
