IT Specialist

IT Specialist – Stockton-on-Tees – Up to £30k + Benefits

This well-established organisation requires a driven and self-motivated IT Specialist to join their technical team. The key to this role is ensuring smooth operations of systems and infrastructure whilst supporting end-users. The IT Specialist will be responsible from providing 1st line support, through to complex 3rd line issues and everything in between.                                                                       

The IT Support position is for a large organisation who have around 1500 employees globally, with continued growth planned. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in IT Support related roles. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in IT security and any professional certifications are beneficial.

Key Duties:

  • Manage the IT budget and drive performance improvements
  • Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users
  • Manage information security and maintain network and user security through hardware or software installation
  • Project manage delivery of all IT projects
  • Advise on and implement business process improvements
  • Documentation of procedures, solutions, and local infrastructure
Key Skills:
  • Windows Server, SQL Server
  • VMware
  • Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, and RDS.
  • A good base of networking knowledge, ideally CISCO
  • ISO27001
