Solution Architect – Northampton
 
Salary - £60k plus excellent benefits – 12 months FTC

The Solution Architect, will be responsible for devising the best technical solution approach across multiple network domains, internal and third-party systems across the organisation, whilst working with delivery and technical partners in designing, planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of these systems. Ideally, you will have multiple years’ experience as a Solution Architect preferably within the financial services industry. This is a fixed term role for 12 months with the potential to go permanent.
 
Core responsibilities for this Solution Architect role includes:
 

• Understanding of business data and business requirements
• Design solutions to meet client’s technical approval & create technical specifications for solution architecture
• Evaluate and select software/products against business requirements and turn business requirements into robust technical solutions fitting into best practice and strategy
• Collaboratively work with other areas of the technology team to deliver end to end solutions
• Assist delivery managers on project planning
• Ability to evaluate software and products against business requirements

 
Core skills & experience for this Solution Architect role include:
 

• Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect with broad understanding of existing and emerging technologies
• Hands on experience in technical architecture definition, & working knowledge of varied Front End, Middleware, and Back End technologies
• Experience in various technologies such as J2EE, SOAP/REST services, SOA, EAI & integrating with Oracle EBS stack & Java apps.
• Experience of Oracle Fusion Middleware
• Demonstrable experience with SOA suite and Oracle Enterprise Design Patterns.
• Experience Performance tuning of Oracle systems including SOA Suite.
• Working experience of XML and XSLT Shell Scripting and Weblogic WLST
• Experience working on Java apps
• Ability to model solutions using Visio, EA tool
