IT Infrastructure Consultant

IT Infrastructure Consultant – Sheffield – Up to £45k + Car Allowance + Benefits

This well-established organisation requires a driven and self-motivated IT Infrastructure Consultant to join their technical team. The key to this role is ensuring smooth operations of systems and infrastructure whilst supporting end-users and field engineers. The Infrastructure Engineer will be supporting a group of companies with several offices across the UK and Ireland. Travel to these sites will be required on occasion.

The Infrastructure Specialist position is for a large organisation who have invested heavily into IT over the past several years, with continued growth planned. Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience working in infrastructure related roles. You will act as the senior infrastructure representative for their UK operations.

Key Duties:

  • Provide high-level IT support to field and office-based end-users
  • Installation, operation, and monitoring of a variety of IT-solutions
  • Advise on and implement business process improvements
  • System administration and managing local backup solutions
  • Documentation of procedures, solutions, and local infrastructure
 Key Skills:
  • Microsoft Active Directory / Exchange / Windows 7/10 / Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • VMware
  • Networking skills with Windows Server based networks
  • Experience troubleshooting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line issues
  • ITIL framework with focus on service requests, incidents, and problem management
