This established company based in Redditch, are looking for a Head of DevOps to be responsible for monitoring application and platforms as well as ensuring the alerting and monitoring systems are to the highest quality and efficiency. This role will require you to lead a small team and take ownership of RTO and RPO KPI and metric management.
 
The Head of DevOps will work closely with the team members, software developers, business users and other technology stakeholders to provide automation, push button, deployments, and continuous delivery of our custom developed and internally managed software applications.
 
Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee and guide the DevOps engineering team and lead operational management of secure and scalable infrastructure for the business
  • You will take ownership of cloud cost management across platforms and lead incident management and root cause analysis
  • You will ensure all new product development meets stability, monitoring and reliability standards
  • You will be responsible for enforcing use of version control procedures and collaborating with infrastructure and development teams across the business
Skills & Experience for this Head of DevOps role:
  • Proven track record of leading a DevOps/Infrastructure team
  • Windows and Linux Administration
  • CI/CD tools
  • Infrastructure as code practices
  • Security by design
  • PowerShell & Shell scripting
  • Configuration management tools
  • Cloud computing (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
  • Containerisation management tools
  • Services/APIs, Serverless Architecture
