Network Engineer

Network Engineer – Chorley - £35k
CCNP, IPS, Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, Routers, Switches

This well-established organisation requires a driven and self-motivated Network Engineer to join their busy technical services team and motivate those around them. The key to this role is ensuring smooth operations of systems and infrastructure. The Network Engineer will work on new implementation projects and existing systems alongside other senior infrastructure team.
                                                                                                       
The current vacancy is for an innovative IT solutions organisation who are looking for a Network Engineer to provide specialist support. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in network related roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills
  • Experience with a wide spectrum of vendors i.e. Juniper, Cisco etc
  • Experience of Layer 2 technologies and experience with Network Management tools
  • Experience of large scale network technologies e.g. BGP, OSPF, MPLS
  • Network and infrastructure security and experience of IDS and IPS is an advantage-
  • Clean driving licence
  • Good attention to detail
