This role requires a "hands on" approach coupled with the ability to learn things quickly and have a sharp eye for detail. It is highly preferable that you have previous B2B experience in an IT infrastructure environment, ideally dealing with multiple suppliers and customers.
This is a highly client-facing role that would suit a Junior Project Manager or Service Delivery Manager with at least 1-2 years’ experience ideally with an IT Software or IT Managed Services background. The Project Manager will be working with a number of clients at any one time so the ability to multi-task is essential. Some UK travel will also be required.
 
You will be responsible for the provisioning and project managing the delivery of customer orders. You will also be responsible for ongoing client service delivery.
 
Core responsibilities
 

  • Project managing the provisioning and deployment of a wide range of IT infrastructure solutions with a mix of products and services
  • Taking ownership of the delivery of customer orders from start to finish using the CRM and other tools to track progress.
  • Engaging with multiple suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of products and services
  • Working with Sales to ensure pricing and delivery expectations are managed with the client
  • Ensuring ongoing quality of service, delivery and adherence to agreed SLAs
  • Establishing strong professional working relationships with customer and suppliers, ensuring that customers are communicated with, regularly and professionally
  • Proactively tracking the service delivery against agreed criteria and performance metrics, both in terms of deliverables, SLAs and targets
  • Identify service failures, ideally proactively, and proposing, communicating and implementing appropriate remediation
  • Work with all areas of the business to improve and streamline the business to both minimise cost and exceed customer satisfaction
 
Skills & Experience
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience of at least one of; IT project management, relationship management & service management, including at senior client level
  • Good communication and numeracy skills with good time management, organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Thrive in a busy work environment
  • Team player and excellent telephone skills
  • Have worked in an IT and/or Telecoms environment with a reasonable understanding of the key technologies that they deploy
  • Experience working with a variety of clients simultaneously, with multiple different stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills
  • A High level of practical Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLookup), good Word & PowerPoint skills
  • ITIL and/or Prince 2 accreditation would be advantageous
