Desktop Support Analyst – Telford
 
Location – Telford, Shropshire
 
 This dynamic organisation with a name for excellence within their industry are looking to add an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to their IT Services team to provide technical support and assistance to staff, dealing with helpdesk requests and calls coming into the IT department, whilst also working with the Network Administrator to maintain the Companies IT infrastructure.
 
Core responsibilities for this Desktop analyst role;
 
•             Respond to helpdesk requests within company defined targets and escalate to senior team members when required
•             Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support company workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and phones.
•             Ad-hoc cabling installation
•             Installation and provisioning of company bespoke software
•             Work with third party engineers to provide fault resolution to equipment under warranty.
•             Keep up to date with ICT developments and liaise with the IT team over future developments.
 
Core skills & experience for this Desktop analyst role;
 
•             Hands on experience supporting Microsoft windows systems
•             Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills.
•             Excellent work ethic, positive attitude and sense of urgency
•             Strong interpersonal communication skills. Being able to communicate successfully with people at many technological levels
•             Willing and able to document procedures, and work progress
•             Desirable: Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Active Directory, VMware, MS Office Applications
•             Desirable: VPN, Routing, Telephony, or Firewall knowledge a plus
