Chief Information Officer, CIO – Greater Manchester Location – Greater Manchester, Bolton, North ManchesterSalary 100k with excellent benefits Reporting to the CEO, responsible for the selection, development, deployment and maintenance of all technology initiatives. To include strategic planning, product development, software development and implementation, quality assurance and production systems maintenance Ideally you will have a minimum 5 years’ experience of managing teams and delivering business critical infrastructure, operational and software solutions in a vibrant technology driven environment. Key Responsibilities for this CIO / Chief Information Officer role - Responsible for overseeing all IT aspects of the group- Works with the Board & Senior Management to support growth of the company through the improved use of technology and information - Owns & controls the overall IT Roadmap and Budget, under delegation from the Board and with appropriate delegation to direct reports- Owns the IT Vision and Strategy, gathering inputs from relevant parties, keeping current and aligned with the overall business strategy, including industry development and opportunities under agreement with the Board- Owns the global technology infrastructure, application, data and business intelligence capability- Direct reports include the Group Infrastructure Manager / Vendor Manager and the Business Applications Manager.- Drives and embeds technology innovation across all domains- Sets objectives for senior IT management and evaluates performance and development needs Skills and Experience Required - Experience of delivering transformation of an IT function driving positive change throughout the department- Ideally, experience of a globally distributed IT Operating Model, delivering optimized service levels, collaborative ways of working and clear business value- Ability to understand and relate business and technology agendas within the organisation and externally with clients and partners- Able to engage with, motivate and excite the business and leadership, including the Board in terms of what IT can do and how IT can protect and deliver value- Able to generate ‘outside-in’ thinking, building and leveraging external contacts to generate innovative ideas and manage cost- Experience and track record of developing key staff within the IT function- Strong vendor management capabilities plus experience of procuring and managing a range of contracted- out / outsourced IT service delivery- Able to think and act strategically and tactically and to prioritise / trade off competing priorities in a rational and sensitive manner- Robust budget management and forecasting ability including creation of compelling business cases for IT Capital and Operational investment- Strong IT Governance, standards and compliance experience including GDPR, ITIL, SIAM and ISO 27001- Able to lead, deliver and transparently engage with key stakeholders across IT Operations and Software Development / DevOps lifecycles, using appropriate methodologies such as Agile / Waterfall Are you looking for a new challenge and feel you have the experience and expertise to take this organisation to the next level in their growth plans?
