Power BI Developer – Birmingham, West Midlands

Location – Birmingham
Rate – 350 per day
Duration – 5 months

This advanced software house who are pioneering the latest cutting-edge software for a diverse industry are looking to add a Power BI developer to their development team based in Birmingham. Working within an Agile environment this contract will run for 5 months with the strong possibility of an extension.

Core Responsibilities:

Work with the BI Services and BI Delivery teams to determine the most effective strategy of delivering Power BI reports to their extensive customer base
Collaborate with key business stakeholders to create an initial suite of Power BI Reports and Dashboards to support their new product offerings
Integrate Power BI outputs with their Single Sign On solution to ensure users are authenticated and data is restricted based on user policies
Assist the development teams (internal and outsourced) with embedding Power BI outputs within their .NET / Angular Web Applications
Mentor and train internal members of their BI Services and BI Delivery Teams
Produce robust detailed documentation to assist with knowledge transfer throughout the teams.

Essential skills

Fundamental understanding of Power BI hosting models and delivery methods
Power BI report and dashboard design
Solid understanding of data restrictions and security
Knowledge of T-SQL for Query building
Expert working knowledge of Power BI Embedded
Requirements analysis and collaboration with Product Owners

Any experience in Azure SQL Server, .Net Web Application development, Identity Server, OpenID and Oauth2 authentication models would be highly advantageous
