This advanced Financial Services based near Northampton are looking to add a Business Analyst / Business Consultant to join an established team and work closely with the project manager and the development team lead to develop solutions for clients.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst;

Gather information and translate the requirements into straightforward Functional specifications
The Business Analyst will provide consultancy and service relating to their business related software and product suite.
Identify solutions to business issues and opportunities & generate use cases and provide solutions for TO BE flow of the process
Participate in meetings to understand different business process, process plans and functionality in a detail, assist in arranging Integration Test Plans which was utilized by the functional team and the development team for performing detailed testing on business applications
To understand and apply an application development methodology where appropriate and contribute to the production of the deliverables required at each stage of the project life cycle
To develop, write and execute system test scripts and participate in internal quality reviews
To prepare system documentation and liaise with Development teams as required
Synchronize requirements in JIRA and assign to development team lead to track SDLC lifecycle

Experience & Requirements for the Business Analyst role;

Knowledge of the financial services industry and its processes and procedures gained through direct experience.
Demonstrable aptitude for analysing application problems, ideally using a formal analysis methodology, and the building of solutions
Understanding of solution and web architecture
Have data analysis skills and must be experienced in technology stacks preferably any of; SQL, Tableau, OBIEE, MS Excel, Visio
Experience in working to strict deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
Understand the phases of the development life cycle, and how they are related

The ideal Business analyst / Business Consultant will be degree qualified and ideally hold an ISEB (or equivalent) qualification. Candidates must come from a Financial Services background, preferably Banking; Banking Products, Payments, Wealth Manager, Regulatory knowledge (BCBS 239).
